Forty years ago, Punit Renjen traveled from his hometown in India to attend Willamette’s Atkinson school on a Rotary scholarship. Since then, he has been a deeply committed and passionate supporter and donor. He has generously given his time, talents, and resources to the advancement of Willamette. Perhaps most significantly, he is currently the proud parent of a rising Bearcat sophomore.

After earning his master’s, Renjen went on to have a distinguished career with Deloitte, becoming Global CEO in 2015. During his tenure, Deloitte became the largest and most successful professional services firm in the world as well as the #1 commercial services brand. He retired from Deloitte in December 2022 to become Global CEO emeritus. In May 2023, he was elected to the SAP Supervisory Board to succeed SAP founder, Hasso Plattner, as Chairman.

In addition to supporting numerous scholarships and students over the years, he has provided funding for the Renjen Center (our multicultural student center), the Renjen Prize for Faculty Excellence, and led the creation of the Renjen/Deloitte Foundation Pathways Program which helps enhance career services support for underrepresented students. He is an enthusiastic connector and advocate in support of the university’s strategic initiatives and objectives.
