Atkinson Graduate School of Management Dean's Corner

A message from Interim Dean Romana Autrey

January 2025

Hello, extended Atkinson family,

Happy New Year to all! At Atkinson, we’ve been very busy since my last update in October. I am so excited to share the latest news with everyone.

THE ATKINSON SCHOOL HAS MOVED TO KANEKO!

As I write this, the final touches are not quite complete, but we have moved out of the Mudd Building and Atkinson Annex and are settling in at Kaneko. This move consolidates all of Atkinson's classrooms, offices, and facilities together under one roof, fostering a more cohesive and collaborative environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

  • Atkinson’s new home in Kaneko Commons includes the former space of Tokyo International University of America (TIUA). Our footprint in Kaneko includes:
    • A-wing, first floor: Classrooms, staff offices
    • T-wing, first floor: Classrooms, student lounge
    • T-wing, second floor: Faculty and staff offices
  • The pedestrian bridge connects Kaneko to the rest of campus

Continuing our 50th anniversary celebration, we are inviting the entire AGSM community to join us for the first-ever Dean’s Women’s Basketball Outing on February 1st . Watch for details soon—I hope you can join us.

  • Cheer on our Bearcats! Game time is 6pm in the Sparks Center.
  • Alums can access a free digital All-Sports Pass for the complete 2024-25 Season at no charge.
  • Have a meal on us and get some fun new 50 th anniversary swag!
  • Come early and check out Atkinson’s new home, immediately across the pedestrian bridge

2024-25 Poets & Quants Rankings.

  • Atkinson has moved up one place from last year and is now ranked #96 out of 1,100+
accredited full-time MBA programs in the US!
  • Atkinson is one of only two schools ranked in the Pacific Northwest—University of Washington is #19 and Atkinson repeats as #1 in Oregon and #2 in the Northwest.

Moving Forward
The possibilities for further growth in our new facility are positively energizing. Atkinson’s continued recognition in the rankings reflects the hard work of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Let’s take a moment to celebrate our progress. With this incredible community, I know that even greater achievements lie ahead!

Best regards,
