Since graduating from Willamette University College of Law in 2001, Liani has represented clients ranging from victims of sexual violence as a staff attorney at the National Crime Victim Law Institute to the Governor of Oregon as General Counsel to the Office of the Governor. She also served as Deputy Chief Trial Counsel for the Oregon Department of Justice. In her current position, as a shareholder and president of Bullard Law, Liani advises public, private, and nonprofit entities on employment matters.
As a proud double Bearcat, Liani has remained engaged with the University, especially in mentoring students from diverse backgrounds. She has been named mentor of the year and in 2014, the WUCL Asian Pacific American Law Students Association created the “Liani J. Reeves Inspiration Award” in her honor.
Liani served as Co-Chair of the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association and President of the Oregon Asian Pacific American Association. In 2020, she served as the President of the Oregon State Bar, the first Asian American and first woman of color to hold that position.
