Jamal Raad is a co-founder and executive director of Evergreen Action, a group which helped design and pass the climate provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest federal climate investment in American history. Jamal has dedicated his life to fighting for progressive change from the inside on Capitol Hill and on political campaigns across the country.
He has served as press secretary for U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley. Most recently, Jamal ran communications for Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s presidential campaign, which was a grassroots movement to put climate change at the top of the national agenda.
