Sue Rauch enrolled at Willamette in the fall of 1971, beginning a lifelong commitment to Willamette and Salem. Aside from two years in the Carroll University Admission Office in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Sue’s professional career was spent in enrollment services at Willamette.

Over the course of her career, Sue played a major role in moving Willamette from a non-computerized institution to a leader in technology. Although she was a history major at WU, she applied her broad base of skills and knowledge to a variety of complex projects, including helping design and implement the university database, still used today. Sue was a talented writer and for many years, wrote all of Willamette's admission publications.

Later, she took on even more challenging leadership roles, and, after being named the Administrative Employee of the Year in 2006, served as the university’s interim vice president for enrollment. Sue passed away in January of 2011.
